I was very impressed by Carlos' knowledge of history and his interesting stories not only about Vejer but the Andalusia region in general. I was also impressed by his ability to think of my needs and when to take a break. I have a disorder which affects my muscles and energy level. The scenery of the town was very delightful and I was surprised by it's elevation since what I had seen of Cadiz' southern Region was not like this. Nos enseñó a valorar las características de un vino fino, en sus muchas variedades, y a deducir cuáles son los sabores que mejor combinan con ese vino. Probamos una gran variedad de sabores en distintos sitios de gran carisma, acabando con unos deliciosos dulces árabes en una preciosa azotea con vistas al pueblo de noche. El guía no sólo nos habló sobre vinos y tapas, también nos supo contextualizar estos sabores en la cultura y tradición de Vejer de la Frontera y en la provincida de Cádiz, con lo que pudimos descubrir numerosas curiosidades de este pueblo.

Durante la visita de los pueblos blancos pudimos descubrir lugares que ni sabíamos que existían a pesar de vivir a pocos kilómetros. En un solo día vimos varios pueblos, cada uno con sus peculiaridades, las cuales pudimos apreciar gracias a las explicaciones del guía, pero todos ellos con las características comunes propias de los pueblos de la zona. El guía supo hacer de esta visita un camino ameno, comentando anécdotas y detalles curiosos sin densas explicaciones que al final terminas olvidando. Pudimos aprovechar para degustar y comprar productos típicos de estos pueblos de un valor gastronómico totalmente inesperado para nosotros.

En general, dos experiencias memorables, ideal para quien busca aprovechar su viaje a esta zona de Cádiz de forma amena y tranquila pero sin dejar pasar lo mejor de cada uno de estos pueblos.
