Vejer is undoubtedly Moorish and Andalusian influenced, with its narrow, winding streets and whitewashed facades, its ancient Moorish castle and main church, with its exotic patios full of flowers, perched on a hilltop giving it magical unbelievable views of the surrounding areas. It is full of history and romantic legends, as well as being internationally renowned by its local gastronomy.

What does it include?

The tour lasts for 2-3 hours and includes a walking tour and a romantic dinner at one of the most beautiful restaurants in Vejer de la Frontera. For one hour the group will be walking with Carlos learning about the  local legends and romantic tales between Christians and Moors. He will also include some of Vejer's rich history from Moorish times, up until the present day.

Enjoy a walk through Romantic Vejer de la Frontera's streets and viewpoints, while learning about the local gastronomy which will help you to ease into the final point of the tour to enjoy a romantic 4-course dinner full of aphrodisiacs.

During your dinner you and your partner will enjoy magical views overlooking Vejer while starting with a specialty cocktail and having a dinner full of local produce and aphrodisiacs. Enjoy an Andalusian wine with an appetiser, a first plate, a second plate and finish your romantic tour and dinner with a tasty dessert.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

Make sure you wear comfortable shoes for walking in and bring a hat, sunglasses and suncream for the afternoon tour. We will be outside enjoying the sunshine for part of the time! 

Don’t forget to bring along your camera to show everyone back home all the best moments from your tour!

What language is the tour in?

The tour is offered in both English and Spanish, which your guide which will be fluent in.

Is the tour wheelchair available?

Our usual tour route is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately (due to the structure of the village!). However, speak to us about a custom private tour! We are able to alter the route and still enjoy tapa and wine pairings during a fun tour!

Is the tour possible for vegetarians or those with other dietary restrictions?

Vegetarian alternatives can be provided during the tour. However please be aware that you will have to let us know in advance and the dishes may not have many aphrodisiacs.

Unfortunately vegan alternatives are not possible. Please advise us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions or speak to us if you have any concerns.

Can older people keep up with the group?

Absolutely! We walk at a relaxing pace and stop frequently so it is enjoyable for everyone!


Can children join the tour?

We do not recommend this tour for families. If you would like to do a similar tour with your family we can recommend doing Sherry & Tapas tour

Are there any additional costs?

No, unless you would like more drinks or a different food choice than what it is provided in the menu.

What happens in the event of rain?

Luckily, we are in an incredibly sunny region where rainy days are infrequent (July averages only 1mm of rain in the whole month!).

However, if there is heavy rain on the day your tour is, you can choose a couple of options. Either continue with the tour and we will do the tastings inside, or you have the option of rescheduling to another day or time where there is availability. We will contact you in the event your tour will be changed.
