What should you expect in this wellbeing day tour in Conil, Cadiz?

Welcome to Cadiz in Costa de la Luz, Andalusia. My name is Carlos and I will guide you in this wellness tour in Cadiz province. I am passionate about Spanish gastronomy as well as the environment. In fact, I worked in the environmental and conservation field in Canada, UK and Spain for 5 years. This wellness tour in Cadiz consists of a tour between Roche and Conil de la Frontera. We will visit a local farm that grows a superfood called Moringa and I will guide you on a hiking tour after. This wellbeing day tour is great if you want to feel great in Conil de la Frontera or Roche.

Cadiz province is one of the most biodiverse provinces in mainland Spain. Habitats range from dense forest reminiscent of cloud forest to Mediterranean forest, dune systems, and more. Moreover, Cadiz has over a third of its surface protected, while its climate/sunlight hours are similar to Canary Islands. This is why a plant originally from Southern Asia is able to grow so well in Southern Spain.

In this guided nature tour we will discover more about Cadiz and learn about why our gastronomy is so rich. It is related to our climate, our location, our history, and to the many culinary, medicinal and traditional use of Mediterranean plants found within Cadiz province. You will find many of these plants in your supermarket in lotions, herbal teas, and to flavour your food or even eat them as part of your main plate.

This wellness tour in Cadiz consists of:

Moringa farm tour

A very interesting tour with a local farm in Roche, Conil de la Frontera. Here we will learn all about the superfood called Moringa (Moringa oleifera). You will also get to taste it with a healthy breakfast before doing a hike through crops, pine forest, and the seaside cliffs of Roche and Conil de la Frontera.

Moringa leaves contain more vitamin A than carrots, more vitamin C than oranges, more iron than spinach, more calcium than milk and more potassium than bananas – truly a nutritional superfood. This same nutritional content also helps support the immune system.
