Best places to stay in Vejer de la Frontera

There are so many great small hotels and guest houses in Vejer, it is hard to say which are the best. We have made a list of the lodgings we love most in Vejer. The list is divided into luxury, medium and affordable lodging, as well as whole apartments. Most of the lodgings below are in the beautiful village centre. We have also written a blog with the best restaurants in Vejer if you are interested.

Vejer is officially recognised within the most beautiful villages in Spain. It is a white village with a perfectly balanced mix of Moorish and Andalusian architecture. It is a highlight for both national and international tourists every year.

Unlike other tourist locations, there are no enormous Holiday Inns or Hilton hotels shadowing the village. The hotels and guest houses are locally-owned, authentic and charming, a perfect pair for a stunning village. The number of hotels in Vejer, however, can be overwhelming to choose from. These are the favourites, of ourselves and our guests (prices are based on high season costs):

Luxury (>120€)

Plaza 18: A luxury boutique hotel designed by famous Nicky where attention to detail is reflected in every aspect. The building stands on the foundations of an ancient 13th century Arab house. This building has been restored using entirely organic building materials including traditional lime-based mortars, wooden floors, marble, etc. while energy efficiency is guaranteed using the very latest renewable technology.
