Come and EXPLORE Vejer de la Frontera, one of the white towns of Cadiz, through this wonderful private walking tour. Vejer de la Frontera has one of the most beautiful plazas de España in Spain, scenic views throughout the white town, and it is a paradise for any foodie person. Many of the events that have happened nearby have shaped Spanish history. Join me in this historical walking tour to learn which!

The “De la Frontera” villages are some of the most stunning and best preserved towns in Spain. Vejer is officially recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and it is easy to see why! This walking tour through Vejer de la Frontera lasts around 1h15m- 1h30m. Get to know the local history of Vejer since 1000BC, passing through Phoenician, Carthagenian, Moorish, and Christians times, up until the present day.

We will focus on the importance that Vejer area had during the Moorish conquest and the subsequent Christian reconquest of Spain. We will be walking through its narrow, winding streets and whitewashed facades, its ancient Moorish castle and main church with two completely different architectural styles, and of course, enjoy its unbelievable views.

Throughout this walking tour we will also stop at key points in the village between sites to discuss other interesting anecdotes about the local culture and traditions. We will not only focus on history but we will try to understand how the different influences have shaped Vejer's culture, including its gastronomy.
